Privacy Policy

Smite is built on a simple premise: your workouts are yours. By default — and in practice, always — they stay on your device, sync only through your own iCloud, and we collect as little as possible. The short answer: it stays with you.

Last updated June 16, 2026
The short version
No account. You never sign up or log in.
No servers. We run no backend that stores your workouts.
No tracking. No analytics, ads, or third-party SDKs.
Your iCloud only. Sync runs through your private iCloud.
01

What we collect

By default, and in practice always, Smite does not collect or process your data. The app runs entirely on your device, we operate no servers, and there is no Smite account tied to you. The only optional feature that touches the network — iCloud sync — runs through your own Apple account, which we cannot see.

02

Where your data lives

Everything you create is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and works fully offline. That includes:

Workouts & historyTemplatesExercisesStats & recordsSettings
03

iCloud sync

Sync is optional. When you turn it on, Smite uses your own iCloud account (Apple's private CloudKit database) to keep your iPhone and iPad in step. There is no separate sign-in: authentication is handled by Apple through your Apple ID. The data is encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest, we have no access to it, and you can turn sync on or off in iOS Settings at any time. iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

04

Analytics & tracking

There are none. Smite contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party trackers. We do not record your behaviour, usage patterns, or interactions, and we do not build a profile of you or track you across other apps or websites.

05

Data retention & deletion

Your data lives on your device, and in your iCloud if sync is on, and may persist there even after you uninstall the app. You stay in control: export everything as JSON or CSV at any time, and delete it by removing the app and clearing its iCloud data in iOS Settings. Once deleted from your device and iCloud it is gone for good, and because we hold no copy, there is nothing for you to request from us.

06

Legal basis (EU users)

Where GDPR applies, the limited processing involved in optional iCloud sync rests on providing the functionality you ask for and your consent in enabling it. Because we operate no servers and collect nothing ourselves, there is no other processing to justify.

07

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data. Since your data is stored locally and in your own iCloud, you can exercise these rights directly from the app and iOS Settings without contacting us — we hold no copy to act on.

08

Purchases

Smite is a one-time purchase through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and handles your billing details. We only learn whether a purchase is active so the app can unlock, and we never see your card or payment information.

09

Third parties

We do not sell or share your data, because we never receive it. The only third party involved is Apple, through the App Store (for the purchase) and iCloud (for optional sync). Smite integrates no other services, analytics providers, or advertisers.

10

International data transfers

Smite itself transfers no data anywhere. If optional iCloud sync moves your data across borders, that transfer is operated by Apple under their own safeguards, as required by law.

11

Children's privacy

Smite is not intended for users under 13, or under 16 in the European Union where applicable. Since the app collects no personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to gather from anyone in the first place.

12

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. We will not expand data collection silently. Continued use of Smite after a change means you accept the updated policy.
